Square-Enix is awarding early adopters of their recently released looter/shooter hybrid Outriders with a “Community Appreciation Package,” developers revealed via their official Reddit page. This is in response to a tumultuous launch period that has hampered enjoyment.
Players who have played the game during its first two weeks (between March 31st and April 11th) will be gifted a legendary weapon and an amount of Titanium—a rare resource used for crafting—that matches the player’s highest leveled character. Players will also receive the “frustrated” emote to conveniently display their satisfaction thus far with the Outriders experience. Thus far, there has not been a date set for when the package will be delivered.
The latest game from developer People Can Fly, known for Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgment, has had a rough launch to say the least. During the first weekend after the game’s release, servers had to be completely shut down to stabilize performance. This is after gamers experienced a week of frequent server issues, hindering game play due to the game requiring internet access even in single player mode.
There have also been a multitude of other issues, from the game refusing to load to the UI failing to load properly, and outright crashes in the middle of play. Developers have promised to do right by correcting these issues.
