Ubisoft announced today on their website and social media accounts that Ubisoft Forward (scheduled for June 12, 2021) will have a pre-show that features news and updates on For Honor, Trackmania, The Crew 2, Brawhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion, and more. The main show will feature gameplay for the next entry in the Rainbow Six franchise, and they will dive into the island of Yara to showcase Far Cry 6. Also, get ready to feel the adrenaline with new gameplay for Rider’s Republic. Ubisoft is also promising an update on Mythic Quest (Apple TV+ show) and has told fans to expect a few surprises in their Forward presentation.
Ubisoft had a solid 2020 with Watch Dogs: Legion selling a little over 1.3 million copies, plus, the hype has been building for the open-world extreme sports game Rider’s Republic. Ubisoft could surprise fans with a look at Beyond Good and Evil 2, or they could show gameplay of the recently refocused Skull and Bones.
I think Ubisoft could build some serious momentum if they have a great Ubisoft Foward; we need to see a solid plan for Rainbow Six, a release date for Rider’s Republic, and it really would mean the world to the fans to see Beyond Good and Evil 2. Ubisoft could get a little bit of hate if we don’t get a little teaser for Skull & Bones or Beyond Good and Evil 2; both of these games have not been at E3 in the last two years, and fans are beginning to questions what Ubisoft is doing with these two franchises.
